The Storm in My Brain- Child and Adolescent Bipolar Foundation and Depression Bipolar Support Alliance.

FREE DOWNLOAD The Storm in my Brain a publication from the Child & Adolescent Bipolar Foundation (CABF) and the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA). Artwork for this booklet was created by young people living with depression or bipolar disorder. This is an easy to understand, colorful booklet that speaks to children about how it feels to have a mood disorder. Summary by scifinut

We have read it, and copied it, and brought it to our pdoc and our tdoc, and leave it around the house, and hand it to anyone willing to look at it!
It really helped Ms 12 to grasp what was going on. She was VERY able to relate to the art in the book. Mr 10 read it and said, "Is that what is wrong with me?"

Brainstorm parents rate this book:

Anger Mountain by Bryna Hebert

Anger mountain’s narrator is a young boy who in the course of the book shares his struggles with anger outbursts and techniques, including yoga, relaxation techniques, count to ten, go to my “quiet zone” and others that he has learned that help him manage his emotions and behavior. The examples given in the text are common to young children and the anger management techniques are mentioned in a way that is understandable and positive and would encourage youngsters to try for themselves, although more instruction would be needed in the specific techniques. The illustrations are very cute age appropriate pictures depicting the action in the text.
